Heat pump technology is proven to help reduce carbon emissions and lower energy bills in both old and new buildings. We offer a full service solution for heat pump systems and have in-depth experience across the commercial, public and new build housing sectors.
Heat pumps are capable of operating up to a 300% efficiency, so are incredibly efficient. Installing a heat pump system will not only reduce your existing energy bills by as much as 50%, but also provide protection from future energy price rises. In comparison a traditional gas boiler heating system is only 90% efficient.
We are MCS accredited to design and install air source and ground source heat pump systems. By utilising our experience of renewable heating systems, we’ll work closely with you to deliver a solution that will maximise the benefits of heat pump technology, and meet your renewable energy requirements in the most cost effective way.

How does a heat pump work?
Air source heat pumps
The heat energy in the air surrounding the heat pump unit is extracted and stored in a fluid inside the unit. The pump then compresses the fluid which boosts the temperature of the heat energy stored. This heat is then distributed to a property’s heating and hot water systems.
Ground source heat pumps
A heat transfer liquid is pumped through pipes buried deep in the ground, where it absorbs the ambient heat from the ground and warms up. The low grade heat is transferred through the heat exchanger, and then passes through a heat pump compressor boosting the temperature. The high-grade heat energy can then be used in a properties heating and hot water systems.
Giving you peace of mind every step of the way
We have a wealth of experience in installing heat pumps for domestic new build and commercial projects. We combine our experience in traditional forms of heating, plumbing and electrical works with our expertise in renewable technologies to provide a full service solution that can be tailored to meet your specific needs.
All projects begin with an initial site survey, from there we can specify, design and install the best suited system that will deliver the highest standards of performance and efficiency. As an Accredited Installer of Mitsubishi Electric we highly recommend Mitsubishi heat pump systems to our clients. For more technical information please visit the Mitsubishi’s website.

Non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)
Businesses who install heat pump technology will not only benefit from reduced energy bills but will be eligible to apply for the Government backed Non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme. The scheme is available to the commercial, industrial and public sectors and encourages businesses to use a renewable energy solution for their heat demand, paying them for the heat energy they produce. As an MCS accredited installer, all installations we complete are eligible for RHI payments.
By combining the RHI payments with the savings made against heating bills, an installation is an attractive investment and could pay itself back in less than seven years. To find out how much specific heat pump systems will earn under the non-domestic RHI scheme, click here.
Combining heat pumps with solar PV
Combining solar PV with air source heat pumps is a great way of utilising both renewable energy systems. By simply adding a solar hot water diverter to your solar PV system you’ll be able to use the excess energy generated to provide energy to heat your hot water.
On a sunny day a solar PV system can provide enough electricity to run a heat pump system whilst there is still demand for heating or hot water. This will increase the energy savings made and enhance the environmental benefits of both renewable energy systems.
