HBS partner with JA Solar and GSE Integration to offer the most powerful, Complete In-roof Solar solution for zero-carbon homes
HBS New Energies, the UK’s leading independent new build solar specialist, has partnered with Global leading manufacturers JA Solar and GSE Integration to offer its new build customer base the Complete In-roof Solar solution.
Launching with a range of in-roof solar modules from 320W up to 370W, achieving the highest available in-roof power output per square metre, it becomes the most cost-effective roof-integrated solar option to help housebuilders meet their solar specification and deliver zero-carbon ready homes.
This new partnership with JA Solar, one of the largest Tier 1 solar module manufacturers and GSE Integration, Europe’s leading manufacturer of PV integration systems has been forged as the Government sets the pathway to zero carbon homes. The Future Homes Standard will dramatically increase the requirements of solar and therefore the need for more powerful, versatile solar systems.
Future Homes Standard and Part L 2021
Last month the Government published its response to The Future Homes Standard which sets out significant changes to Part L of the Building Regulations. The update will require all new homes to meet the highest standards of energy efficiency and be zero carbon ready by 2025.
Starting with the interim Part L 2021 Building Regulations, new homes will be expected to meet an additional 31% carbon emissions reduction target, effective from June 2022 up to 2025. Under these new regulations, there will be approximately 1 million new homes built, giving developers strong commercial and technical reasoning to explore the most cost-effective measures available to meet these standards.
Solar PV is an established, proven and optimum renewable energy solution for housebuilders to reduce carbon emissions. Developers and consumers are now demanding visually pleasing, integrated solar panels. The Complete In-roof Solar solution from HBS New Energies, JA Solar and GSE, not only looks great and provides unrivalled power output, but is also the superior choice when it comes to ease of installation, appearance, safety and maintenance.
James Bull, Managing Director, HBS New Energies: “Since 2010 we have installed multiple solar PV products on over 15,000 homes. This has provided us with the knowledge and experience to identify the best products in the industry. Together with JA Solar and GSE, we believe this unique proposition meets the challenges the industry is currently facing. The Complete In-roof Solar solution delivers the ultimate combination of quality, safety performance and aesthetics, at a price that is competitive with on-roof solar. What’s more, our range of in-roof solar modules boasts the highest power per square metre available. This makes it the most cost-effective solution to help developers meet their solar specification and deliver zero-carbon ready homes. Meaning that just 4 all-black panels can deliver an impressive 1.48kWp output.”
Andy Baird, UK New Build & Commercial Manager, JA Solar: “We are delighted to partner with HBS as they prepare to scale their design and installation business for Future Homes. JA Solar is already the largest Solar Brand in the UK with the scale and flexibility to enable our partners to access the modules they need, when they need them. Solar’s role in residential new build has grown consistently over the last 15 years and this partnership ensures the UK’s housebuilders can access JA Solar’s latest solar module technology, partnered with one of the UK’s leading design and installation specialists. It’s a model that’s proven, robust and extremely cost effective.”
Oliver Baxter, International Sales Director, GSE Integration: “We are honoured to have the opportunity to be partnering with HBS and JA Solar to put our expertise in the BIPV industry to support UK home builders as they prepare for the Future Homes Standard. With our leading position as manufacturers with 2 MCS certified factories and 4.5 million square meters installed to date, GSE In-roof is the most deployed BIPV mounting system with the capacity to meet the increasing demand of the UK solar industry. Our cooperation with HBS and JA Solar coupled with the technical, design, logistics and extended warranties in addition to the ease of implementation, versatility, cost efficiency and aesthetics, helps us to consolidate our presence and further our growth by consistently offering the best value in-roof PV solution with more power per square metre.”
