HBS Mechanical completes plumbing and heating services contract for 456 affordable and energy efficient new homes at VIVID Homes North Town development in Aldershot.
The first four of six phases at VIVID Homes North Town scheme, a large-scale development in Aldershot is now complete and is providing 456 new homes for rent, shared ownership and private sale, all designed and built to meet Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.
Developed by contractor VIVID Build for VIVID Housing Association, the residential project forms part of a wider regeneration plan for Aldershot that will see 700 much needed homes constructed in total. The scheme offers a mix of flats, houses, maisonettes, bungalows and sheltered housing.
Project delivery
- HBS Mechanical delivered a fully-integrated mechanical design, supply and installation package for all plumbing and heating system requirements, successfully handing over 456 new homes over a phased build programme.
- The mechanical installation services included domestic hot and cold water and central heating, soil and waste water systems, sanitary ware, rainwater systems throughout.

HBS Electrical installed ventilation units to all kitchens and bathrooms for the development and carried out the necessary inspection, testing and commissioning of these systems.

All installations complied with Gas Safe Regulations, Building Regulations, Part P and IET Wiring Regulations and the standards set by our in-house Quality Management System.
- We produced a bespoke O&M manual for each house type at handover, providing the necessary information on all systems installed for the benefit of the occupier.
- HBS Group’s Aftercare division has now adopted the scheme and is providing a 24 hour 365 day after sales service to the residents at North Town for the next two years for their peace of mind should any issues arise.
