HBS Group Southern awarded Taylor Wimpey Dukes Quarter Bordon

We’re pleased to announce that HBS Group Southern has secured a contract from Taylor Wimpey to provide a complete mechanical and solar PV installation package for Dukes Quarter, the first phase of 172 new homes within a wider development of 2,400 new homes in Bordon.

Having secured a large green town development in Bordon with Barratt David Wilson Homes at the former Louisburg Estate Barracks in early 2017, HBS Group Southern are now delighted to be working in partnership with Taylor Wimpey South Thames.

The neighbourhood scheme on the former Prince Phillip Barrack is set to offer a selection of 1, 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes built for private sale and affordable housing, including social rent and shared ownership. The redevelopment of the Whitehill & Bordon regeneration will include a new High Street comprising a cinema, shops, restaurants and cafes. A new primary school is also planned alongside state of the art infrastructure. The Dukes Quarter scheme will be launching in February 2018.

Delivering integrated mechanical and solar PV services at Dukes Quarter

HBS Mechanical are supplying a complete plumbing and heating package for all 172 dwellings. Lead by a dedicated contracts manager, the mechanical division will manage the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of all gas, heating and water system requirements. Following handover, our award-winning Aftercare division will then be on hand to provide a dedicated aftersales service for the new homeowners for two years.

The New Homes PV division of HBS New Energies are managing the design, supply and installation of in-roof solar PV systems to 38 dwellings within the phase 1 plan made up of 34 houses and 4 apartment blocks. We have specified an integrated roof mounting kit to provide a cost-effective solution for the housebuilder and achieve a sleek and aesthetic finish for each new home. When complete the 38 kWp in-roof PV scheme at Dukes Quarter will generate a projected 30,400 kWh in zero carbon electricity and 15,200 kg in CO2 saving per year.

Paul Bailey, Operations Director HBS Group Southern commented:

‘’As part of our growth strategy we’ve been looking to expand our service coverage and capitalise on our experience supporting large regeneration projects. Securing the mechanical and renewable package at phase 1 of Dukes Quarter is a great addition to our growing project delivery programme and a clear sign of our future intentions.’’

‘’This is HBS’s first project working with a new region for Taylor Wimpey. Their South Thames office have an outstanding customer satisfaction record and their values align closely with our own, so we look forward to seeing this exciting partnership take shape in 2018 and beyond.’’
