HBS New Energies to complete solar PV installations to 196 new homes at Boorley Park for housebuilder Bovis Homes. The integrated PV systems will provide an aesthetic finish and ensure the development meets the local carbon reduction targets for planning permission.
Bovis Homes awarded HBS New Energies the contract to install solar PV systems on 196 new sustainable homes across three consecutive phases at their Boorley Park development in Botley, Hampshire. The mixed-tenure scheme includes 2,3,4 and bedroom 5 bedroom homes, all designed and built to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.
- HBS New Energies are currently on site managing the design, supply and installation of integrated solar PV systems. The scope of works undertaken by our dedicated install team includes all roofing, electrical connection and system commissioning.
To deliver best value for the client and ensure the PV arrays meet the required energy outputs across the development our design team specified an integrated roof mounting kit with 265w modules. This provided a cost-effective solution for the client that would achieve a sleek and aesthetic finish for each new home.
- When complete, the 158.56 kWp scheme will yield a projected 148,563 kWh from renewable energy sources and 77.1 tonnes in CO2 savings per year. Additionally, the inclusion of solar power will pass on valuable energy cost savings to the new homeowners.
- HBS Group Southern has since secured the contract to supply an integrated mechanical and electrical installation package to phase 2 of this development working alongside the renewable energy division.
