Bovis Homes appoint HBS New Energies to install solar PV to 370+ new build homes at Boorley Park in Botley. The roof-integrated PV systems will help ensure the housing development meets its sustainability targets.
Bovis Homes (Southern Counties) has selected HBS New Energies as new build solar installation partner to deliver roof-integrated solar PV systems for the new homes under construction at their Boorley Park development in Botley, Hampshire. The mixed-tenure scheme includes 2,3,4 and bedroom 5 bedroom homes, all designed and built equivalent to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 5.
After successfully completing solar installations at Phase 1, HBS New Energies has gone onto to partner with the housebuilder to help them achieve their on-site energy targets for all consecutive phases over the last 3 years.
Summary of new build solar PV services
- HBS are managing the design, supply and installation of roof-integrated solar PV systems across multiple phases. The scope of works undertaken by our dedicated install team includes all roofing, electrical connection and system commissioning.
Our in-house design team engineered a new build solar scheme to ensure Bovis Homes Boorley Park achieved the 19% reduction target across the development. This provided a best value solution for the client that would achieve a sleek and aesthetic finish for each new home.
- Over the last 3 years Bovis Homes have contracted HBS to install over 285 kWp of roof-integrated solar panels at Boorley Park. When complete the solar PV systems will provide up to 132 tonnes of CO2 per year. Additionally, the inclusion of solar panels within the energy efficient homes will pass on valuable energy cost savings to the new homeowners.
- HBS Group Southern’s Mechanical and Electrical divisions are currently supplying an integrated plumbing and heating and electrical services installation package to multiple phases and have been on site for the last 3 years.
